9/15: Vladimir Putin and RUSSIA-- SCANNED for Economic Royalism Supply Side RLA Extraction 2010-2026.

We're evaluating the country of Russia and Putin for Economic Royalism Resource Extraction using my 10 parameters I developed to identify it in Country leadership..

Economic Royalism is a system that rigs power and money by controlling resources and their income flow, upward into the hands of a few elites, leaving ordinary people trapped. And when we ran the 10 parameters on Russia, the result was unsurprising:

Parameter 1 — Elite-First Government Policy: 9/10

Russia’s policy direction from 2010 to 2025 favored regime-connected elites, security institutions, state corporations, and strategic-sector insiders before the general public. Public-facing social programs remained, but they increasingly functioned as stabilizers for political loyalty rather than as universal democratic rights.

Parameter 2 — Weak, Closed Democracy: 10/10

Russia retained elections, parties, courts, a legislature, and constitutional language, but these institutions became closed guardrails for incumbent power rather than open democratic constraints. The result was not the absence of democracy as a costume, but a weak and closed democracy used to produce legitimacy without real transfer risk.

Parameter 3 — Captured Public Guardrails: 10/10

Russia’s public guardrails were captured through the presidency, judiciary, security services, prosecutorial power, and administrative control over civil society. Guardrail capture protected concentrated resource power by preventing courts, unions, voters, journalists, or civic groups from challenging resource allocation.

Parameter 4 — Public Goods Treated as Commodities: 8/10

Russia did not fully abolish public goods as rights; health care, education, pensions, housing supports, and social payments formally persisted. However, public goods became increasingly conditional, uneven, underfunded, and subordinated to state-security priorities.

Parameter 5 — Regressive or Elite-Controlled Tax and Extraction System: 10/10

Russia’s tax structure was highly concentrated from an RLA perspective because top personal income taxation remained far below the 70% democratic-resource-symmetry threshold for the entire period. Low top rates plus direct elite-controlled extraction produced maximum concentrated-resource leverage.

Parameter 6 — Captured, Dependent, Consolidated Media: 10/10

Russia’s media environment became a core pillar of resource-leverage concentration. Media capture was not partial influence; it was an integrated censorship-propaganda system that limited the public’s ability to identify corruption, policy tradeoffs, war costs, and labor exploitation.

Parameter 7 — Suppressed Unions and Worker Power: 9/10

Worker power in Russia was formally recognized but structurally weak. The state’s preference was to manage wages through contracts, subsidies, repression, and selective payouts rather than through independent collective bargaining.

Parameter 8 — Corrupt Government Entangled with Corporate Power: 10/10

Russia’s government-business structure was deeply entangled, but the entanglement was not normal corporate lobbying; it was state-capitalist patronage under authoritarian command. Corruption, state power, oligarchic wealth, and unfair competition fused into a resource-allocation machine.

Parameter 9 — Austerity and Weakened Social Insurance: 9/10

Russia’s social-insurance pattern from 2010 to 2025 was not pure neoliberal dismantling, but it repeatedly subordinated social protection to fiscal stress, regime stability, and militarization. The score is severe because downturn and war pressure were absorbed through pension retrenchment, inflation, civilian-service squeeze, and selective loyalty-based support.

Parameter 10 — Elite Exemption and Unequal Justice: 10/10

Russia’s justice system from 2010 to 2025 protected concentrated power while punishing opposition, independent media, civil society, and disloyal elites. Law operated less as a neutral constraint than as an enforcement arm of concentrated resource rule.

Russia's current Economic Royalism score is 95 out of 100. A total loss to Economic Royalism Resource Extraction. (Similar nowadays scores examples: China 89, USA 87, Israel 76, Iran 91, Saudi Arabia 93, North Korea 97.)

And that shows in the leadership.

Vladimir Putin HIMSELF scored 93 out of a hundred, cementing himself as one of the most entrenched Economic Royalists alive today.

Look at the others in Putin's circle.

Igor the Roseneft boss who built his empire off stolen Yukos assets.

Sergey Chemov, arms industry king with fortunes tied to state defense contracts.

Dmitri Medvev, loyal insider, providing the legal cover when Putin needs it.

How did they rise?

By capturing oil, gas, and state industries in the 1990s and early 2000s, then turning public resources into private empires backed by Kremlin's Iron Fist.

------------

But Russians and my readers the way to defeat Economic Royalism Resource Leverage Asymmetry is by knowledge.
