🤔How are Economics, Physics, and Cells all connected?
🤔How are Economics, Physics, and Cells all connected?
Answer: Concentration.
At first glance our economics, physics, and cellular biology look like three completely different worlds.
One studies money and societies.
One studies matter and the Universe.
One studies the machinery inside.
living bodies.
But my reader step back far enough and all three begin telling the same "concentration" story.
-In economics, resources begin concentrating toward the top.
-As time goes more wealth moves toward fewer people.
-More economic power follows that wealth.
-Workers receive less of what they produce.
-Public resources become controlled by smaller groups.
-Demand weakens because circulation through the population weakens.
Eventually the system becomes top-heavy. The center keeps getting richer while the foundation becomes too weak to support it.
And eventually:
Concentration>Pressure>Instability>
Collapse
Now look at physics.
-Start with the nucleus.
-It keeps acquiring protons and neutrons.
-The center becomes larger.
-Binding becomes stronger.
-Density continues increasing.
For a while the atomic structure can handle it but eventually the nucleus reaches points where the growing concentration becomes unstable. Radiation appears. Decay begins.
As the nuclei become increasingly overloaded, their ability to remain structurally stable becomes shorter and shorter.
Again:
Concentration>Pressure>Instability>
Collapse
Now look inside a human cell.
-A healthy cell depends on movement, exchange, distribution, clearance, energy flow, signaling, and balance.
-But when something inside that biological system begins accumulating where it should not, the same situation appears.
-Proteins can aggregate.
-Damaged material can accumulate.
-Resources can become trapped.
-Signals can become distorted.
-Waste can stop clearing properly.
-Abnormal cells can begin multiplying and consuming surrounding resources.
Eventually healthy circulation gives way to concentration.
And again:
Concentration>Pressure>Instability>
Collapse
Now put all three back beside one another.
🫴Economics: wealth and resource concentration weaken society.
🫴Physics: nuclear concentration eventually destabilizes atomic structure.
🫴Cells: biological concentration eventually disrupts healthy function.
Three different fields. Three completely different vocabularies.
But underneath them is the same simple shape:
The unchecked accumulation creates leverage. The leverage creates asymmetry imbalance. The asymmetry imbalance eventually begins destroying the system that allowed the concentration to form in the first place.
That is the connection the common person can see without knowing a single complicated equation.
Look for what is piling up.
Look for what is no longer moving.
Look for what is being deprived because something else is keeping too much.
And then watch what happens to the system.
Economics. Physics. Cells.
Different rooms. Same damn story.
